Tour Description
This is the version of Saona Island I recommend when someone tells me “I want to see the island but without being squeezed in with a hundred other people”. On this tour we work with small groups, on a speedboat, and instead of staying at a single beach spot you’ll get to know four different places on the island.

We leave from Bayahíbe on a speedboat and, unlike the classic tour, you’ll have close to five full hours on the island, spread over four stops.

Stop 1: Natural Pool at Palmilla
A sandbank in the middle of the sea, with crystal-clear waist-deep water and starfish on the bottom. Look at them and photograph them, but leave them in the water: they can’t survive long outside it.

Stop 2: El Canto Beach
White sand and total calm. The ideal spot to swim, walk along the shore or sit in the shade of a palm tree with nobody rushing you.

Stop 3: Mano Juan, the village almost nobody knows
A small fishing village on the island, with colorful little houses and people who still live off the sea. You’re near the sea turtle sanctuary and see a Saona far more authentic than the postcards.

Stop 4: Flamenco / El Toro Beach
White sand surrounded by vegetation and a postcard-turquoise sea. Perfect for the last photos of the day before sitting down to lunch.

The food
A buffet of typical Dominican food at a seaside restaurant facing the Caribbean, with water, soft drinks and Barceló rum. You sit down and eat calmly.
VIP or classic? Which suits you best
If you’ve never been to Saona Island and just want the classic beach day with open bar, at Punta Cana in Travel we also have that option. But if you already know it, or you prefer a smaller group, four stops instead of one, and getting to know Mano Juan from the inside, this VIP version is the one that will leave you wanting to come back.
Is your bag packed? Message me on WhatsApp at +1 (829) 395-7036 and I’ll reserve your spot with Punta Cana in Travel.
