Tour Description
This is one of the few tours where in a single day you completely change scenery three times: mangroves, caves with Taíno history and a mountain with a view of two lagoons and the Atlantic. If you like real nature, not postcard nature, this is your tour.

Los Haitises: mangroves, keys and limestone formations
We start by sailing by boat through Los Haitises National Park, among mangroves and small keys, surrounded by rock formations that look like they came from another era. This park is one of the best-preserved ecosystems in the Caribbean, and you notice it as soon as you enter.

Caves with Taíno petroglyphs
Inside the park we visit caves that still preserve petroglyphs and pictographs left by the Taíno people centuries ago. It’s not a replica or a recreation, it’s real art carved in stone by those who lived here before all of us.

Montaña Redonda: the view you won’t believe
After Los Haitises we change scenery completely. We ride in a safari-style vehicle to the top of Montaña Redonda, and from there you can see everything: Laguna Redonda, Laguna Limón, Samaná Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, all together in a single panorama. Up there are the famous swings and hammocks hanging over the landscape, the exact spot for that photo that will stay as your wallpaper for a good while.

Lunch and natural pools at Caño Hondo
We close the day at Paraíso Caño Hondo, with a Dominican lunch surrounded by nature and the chance to get into its crystal-clear natural pools to cool off before heading back.

Frequently asked questions
Is it a physically demanding tour? expand_more
It doesn't require special fitness, but you'll walk in humid areas on somewhat uneven ground, so closed shoes or sandals with good grip help a lot.
Is it worth it if I've already done another nature tour? expand_more
Yes, because it combines three very different environments in a single day: mangroves, caves with history and a mountain with a panoramic view. It's unlike any other tour in the area.
