Tour Description
This is the longest day of all the ones we offer at Punta Cana in Travel, and I’m telling you up front because I want you to know before you book: you leave early and come back at night. But I’ll also tell you this: it’s one of those tours people remember years later, because in a single day you combine mountain, waterfall, horses and a beach island that looks like it came from another country.

From your hotel to Miches, through real villages
We leave from Bayahíbe or Bávaro (depending on your hotel) toward the Miches area, passing through small towns where you’ll see a very different Dominican Republic from the hotel strip. In the village of La Cañita we board a boat that crosses to the Samaná peninsula.

On horseback to El Limón Waterfall
Once in Samaná, we board a safari-style truck that takes us up the mountain, and that’s where the part most people remember begins: we ride horses down jungle trails until we reach El Limón Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in the Caribbean. You don’t need riding experience, the horses are guided the whole way.
When you arrive you can get in the water, take photos or just sit and watch the water fall from the height, surrounded by vegetation. Then we ride back on horseback to the safari truck.

Lunch and on to Cayo Levantado
Back at the dock, a buffet lunch awaits with rice, chicken, pork, pasta, green salads and tropical fruit. With your energy restored, we continue by catamaran to Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island because it appeared in the brand’s ads years ago. There you have a full hour and a half to enjoy its white sand and turquoise water, among the most photographed in the country.
The return
We head back to La Cañita, where your transportation back to your hotel is waiting. The exact departure time depends on where you’re staying, so confirm your pickup time the day before.
If you want to live the most complete day we offer, message me on WhatsApp at +1 (829) 395-7036 and we’ll organize your Samaná excursion with Punta Cana in Travel.
